Interior Stylist Di Mapleson discusses one of our key trends for the season - how to style light with dark.
This season， we introduce a new luxury design to our collection， Templers. Crafted in a matelassé weave， Templers focusses on the intricate details. How can subtle details of a weave compliment your bedroom？accent pillow case baby burlap baby decoration
The Templers， although subtle in its overall lookbaby pillow， is simply beautiful. It is extremely versatile and brings in texture with a geometric design that looks perfect with so many styles. The quality of the fabric falls beautifullyand the detail of pattern is superb. It not only compliments a bedroom – it makes for a star feature.
Our designers have tapped into the trend of styling our Templers with a dark wall and dark décor， do you foresee this dark versus light as a new trend？
I definitely think so! The old myth about dark being depressing and making rooms look smaller is just not right. Contrasting colours mixed with natural elements gives a feel of luxury and superb style. The Templers design looks amazing with my dark wall as a backdrop， dark against light certainly makes a statement.

How can you work this trend of dark versus light into your home？
There’s nothing as easy as painting a feature wall in a dark colour. Charcoals， black or even navy are very popular choices. They are just as neutral as whites but certainly bring more life into a room. Dark colours make everything else pop! You can style your home by balancing the dark and light décor around to make it come together， by adding a few indoor plants to the mix， this becomes a winning combination.
How would you accessorise your bed without drawing away the attention of the delicate weave of our Templers design？
Because Templers is a statement in itself with a stunning pattern and texture， there is no need to detract from it with added patterns. A plain knitted or fur throw would compliment it. Again， by adding cushions of different textures like linen， velvet， furs or knits would also work. You could bring in any colour of your choice， or keep it simple and monochromatic.
